An admin control panel for your time at СÀ¶ÊÓƵ

See the information that the University holds about you and keep it up to date. Use СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Direct to book appointments with Housing, Counselling or the Student Life Centre.

Keep your printing account topped up and view your library account. You can also use СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Direct to choose your course options and electives.

Quick guide to IT at СÀ¶ÊÓƵ

Your IT username and password

When you register online (available from 1 September for new undergraduates), you are given an IT Services username and password as part of the process. The username is usually made up of your initials, followed by a number, such as: ano23. Keep these details safe as they will give you access to many of the computing services at СÀ¶ÊÓƵ.

Connect to the internet

If you're based in one of the student residences, you get the best internet by using the wired connection in your room. The Wi-Fi is service called eduroam which is free for students and is available across the campus and in residences.

To improve your IT skills, or anything else to boost your studies and future career, you should activate your free LinkedIn Learning account.

СÀ¶ÊÓƵMobile

Download the СÀ¶ÊÓƵMobile app from the App Store or the Play Store. It gives you access wherever you are to your email, your library account, free study spaces and much more. You can also log on to СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Direct to keep your personal details up to date and onto Canvas for information about your courses.


Log on to a campus PC

There are over 900 PCs on the campus that can be used by students - you can just log on with the IT username and password that you collect during online registration.

Programs and software

IT Services manage computer rooms around campus including Windows PCs and Apple Macs, all with an impressive suite of both standard and more specialised programs.

You can also download free software for your computer from IT Services or buy other programs at a student discount from external suppliers.

Office 365

All students can download Microsoft Office apps such as Windows, PowerPoint and Excel for your own computer and mobile devices. You also get 1TB of online storage absolutely free - handy for storing your uni work for access wherever you are.
